My family in La Esperanza, Intibuca

Me with Keyry, 10, and Mariela, 15, at the house in La Esperanza...Keyry liked to play cards and so I gave her a new pack of playing cards for her 10th birthday to replace the old ripped deck she was currently playing with - i think it was also missing a few cards... Mariela was in involved in a folkloric dance group called Isalaca. She taught me how to dance and I went to her presentation during the Potato Festival.

You know, we all sort of knew that Keyry wasn't playing with a full deck......

Hi Stephanie, this is a nice blog! I am Javier, actually I was googling for some info about La esperanza, looking for some schools for my younger syblings and found your blog! My family moved to Intibuca -dad, mama and children- this year to live there where my brother lives for already 5 years. Maybe you got to know him. He is a christian pastor and lives there with his family.
It is nice that you like honduran people so much. Specially people for the interior of the country are always friendly and welcoming!
Well, hope hearing from you and would love to keep in touch!
    Yours,
    Javier
