from old historic roots to modern gleaming highrises, there still exists poverty in the midst of this beautiful city. much of the in between spanning old and new panama are slums; this is just a sample of what i can see from our hostel.

I'm 29 years old, and have lived in Virginia, Chicago, Michigan, Los Angeles, and now Honduras over the last 10 years. I´m about 6 months away from finishing my volunteer service with Peace Corps. I have truly enjoyed working as a municipal development volunteer and fulfilling a long overdue dream of traveling and working internationally, learning a new language, and using my experience in urban design for public service...Life continues to be challenging and exciting with every new year...im looking forward to the thirties, travelling´after my service, and moving back home to the states...
